Local Manifesto

AT LEAST TEN PROMISES I WILL COMMIT TO IF I AM ELECTED AS YOUR MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR THE NEW FOREST WEST CONSTITUENCY. REST ASSURED THESE ISSUES ARE BORN OF GREAT PASSION AND ABSOLUTE BELIEF AND YOU CAN BE CERTAIN I WILL TACKLE THEM WITHOUT HESITATION OR DELAY:

  1. To engage Young People from the New Forest West area to get involved in Politics ("please see my idea explained under the sub-heading "Local News")
  2. Reduce the number of Animal injuries and deaths on New Forest roads (campaigning for some or all of; lowering speeds, more signs, more fences, penalties)
  3. Promote a reduction in business rate tax for local businesses not in profit but still employing 3 or more people (approach whoever is in government to explain, as a long time businessman, the benefits of keeping these businesses going, many of which will eventually succeed)
  4. Promote the prioritising of local housing for those who were born in the area or who have lived in the catchment area for more than 10 years (meet with the relevant committees to press for these priorities to be given)
  5. Protect the architecture and building landscape of our area i.e. if the appearance of buildings do not fit into the traditional British landscape, then planning permission to be denied (make a concerted effort with elected UKIP councillors to try to convince all local councillors in our constituency area re the value of protecting British culture and traditions.)
  6. I will question the ludicrous pay rise scheduled for MPs (encourage greater publicity of donations made by MPs to their communities for just causes)
  7. Oppose the Navitus bay development (through and by every means possible)
  8. Campaign for the return of the most popular withdrawn local bus routes (follow-up an already registered protest with the leader of Hampshire County Council)
  9. Push for Halal product labelling so that those wishing to avoid buying these foods may do so (many people, especially here in the New Forest, object to the inhumane manner of slaughter used)
  10. Set-up a team of volunteers, with the appropriate skills, to advise homeless people who gather for food and blanket donations run by the Church (personally approach those qualified to ask for just 2 hours a week of their time and what a difference that could make)
